Holi Mela on 26 march at Swastika
Prize Giving on 27 March at Town Hall

Republic Day Celebrations

flag raising ceremony followed by a Jump Around Concert was held at the Town Hall on 11 March 05 -A huge gathering of youngsters was noted on this occasion
Republic Day was also celebrated at le Forum for Pre Primary school children of the Town .A debate Competition for colleges is ongoing as from 15 March
Chasse aux Tresor was held at Town Hall with the participation of 12 primary schools
- Elocution contest will be held on 29 March and Volley Ball on 22 March at Le Forum
- Football for colleges was held on 17 March at SWC Stadium

A Religious Talk was given by Allaama Dr Muhamad for the Muslim Community on 16 March at Town Hall

Journee de la Femme on 17 march was celebrated at Town Hall .The Programme comprised of a Talk on the significance of Womens Day and a Musical programme staged by women of different associations of the Town

Financial donation of RS 1,000 was given to 30 associations of the town who had participated in a pilgrimmage tour around the island for Easter

Easter Eggs will be distributed to two kindergartens of the Town and about five Charitable Institutions of the Town

Maha Shivaratree

The Council extended the following facilities to five associations receiving pilgrims at National Level :
Erection of tents
Financial donations
Decorations and other facilities

Opening of Ecole Complementaire at Mangalkhan on 26 February

The Council extended all support for the launching by Ecole de Solidarite and has earmarked a sum of Rs 50,000 in the next budget for the running of the school

Chinese Spring Festival

- An Exhibition on China Strory was held at the Town Hall from 22 to 27 February at the
Town Hall
- A religious ceremony ( Messe d'action de Grace) for the Chinese community was held at Ste Helene church on 6 February
- A cultural show was held at the Town Hall on 10 February in collaboration with China Town Cultural Association and Ministry of Arts and Culture
- A dinner for Senior Citizens was held at the Town Hall on Sunday 27 February

Abolition of slavery

An exhibition was held at the Carnegie Library from 2 to 5 February in collaboration with Nelson Mandela Centre for African Culture
A wreath laying was held at Malagasy Cemetary At Trou aux Cerfs on 30 january 2005

Cavadee Festival on 25 January 2005

The Council extended all suport to 6 associations of the Town for the celebration of the festival in terms of Cash donation , decorations and other facilities
